It seems I've reawakened a lot of people's old memories with this one ^^;; How lucky of your friend, that's amazing!
I loved Saeko in this too, this is the show that first made me take notice of her, I had no idea she had all that in her xD We love an engaging villain (Saeko during the France segment of the story is everything).
